Below you will find information about which data is collected during your visit to our website and how it is used. The data is protected within the framework of the legal regulations.

Cookies are used on this website for a better browsing experience, to personalise content and ads, to offer social media features and to analyse website traffic.

Basic information on data processing

We collect, process and use users' personal data in compliance with the prescribed data protection regulations. This means that the user's data is only used in accordance with legal permission or with the existence of consent.
We take organisational, contractual and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure that the provisions of the data protection laws are complied with and to protect the data we manage against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons.

Personal data

The personal data of the users are used for the execution of our services, services and user services. For example, if you contact us via the contact form, the information will be stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event that follow-up questions arise. The personal data will be deleted if it is no longer required or if there is no legal obligation to retain the data.

Access data

Personal data is only collected by us to the extent that is technically necessary, e.g. name of the file accessed, date and time of access, volume of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page) and the requesting provider. We do not assign this data to specific persons and do not combine it with data from other data sources.

If the opportunity for the input of personal or business data (email addresses, name, addresses) is given, the input of these data takes place voluntarily. The use and payment of all services offered is - as far as technically possible and reasonable - also permitted without providing such data or by providing anonymised data or a pseudonym.

Blog comments

When you write a comment on a blog article, your IP address is stored. This is done for our security in case someone writes illegal content in comments (insults, forbidden political propaganda, etc.). In this case, we ourselves could be prosecuted for the comment and are therefore interested in the identity of the comment author. However, these comment IP addresses are deleted as soon as we have read the comments. This usually happens within a few hours. We also reserve the right to delete or not publish comments. A comment always reflects the opinion of the respective author.

The follow-up comments can sometimes also be subscribed to. You will then receive a confirmation email to check that you are the owner of the email address entered. You can unsubscribe from ongoing comment subscriptions at any time. The confirmation email will contain instructions on how to do this. When subscribing and confirming, the IP address is stored with the time in order to be able to prove the subscription in case of doubt.

Article subscription in Blog

If you subscribe to a blog, your email address will not be used for any other purpose than sending you the articles. You can unsubscribe at any time (email us or the confirmation email will describe the necessary steps in detail). When you register and confirm your registration, your IP address and the time of registration are stored in order to be able to prove your registration in case of doubt.

Legal validity of the disclaimer

The disclaimer is to be regarded as part of the internet publication which you were referred from. If sections or individual terms of this statement are not legal or correct, the content or validity of the other parts remain uninfluenced by this fact.

Cookies

In order for our website to function as desired, we sometimes place small files - so-called cookies - on your device. This is common practice on most websites.

The cookie settings on this website are set to "Allow cookies" to provide the best browsing experience. The website uses cookies to personalise content and ads, provide social media features and analyse traffic to our website.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that are stored on your computer, tablet, smartphone, etc. via your browser. Cookies make it easier for your browser to navigate a website. For example, certain entries and settings (e.g. login, language, font size and other display preferences) are "remembered" over a certain period of time and you do not need to make them again on each subsequent visit and navigation. The cookie itself cannot collect any information stored on your computer or in your files. If a server can retrieve cookies via the web browser, this enables a more user-friendly service.

The activation of these cookies is not mandatory for the use of the website, however, they improve your user experience. Of course, you can delete or block the cookies. In this case, however, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website as intended. The data collected by cookies is not used to decipher your identity.

Control over cookies

You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish. You can also read about this at AllAboutCookies.org. All cookies stored on your computer can be deleted and most browsers can also be set to prevent cookies from being stored. However, you may then have to make some settings manually each time you visit a site and accept that some functions may be impaired. You can find more information on this in the help section of your browser. Please note that most browsers automatically accept cookies. Therefore, if you do not want cookies to be used, you must actively delete or block cookies.

Why do we use cookies?

Cookies help us to improve your user experience when visiting our website. Cookies remember which browser you use and which additional browser software you have installed. They also contain information about your settings and preferences (e.g. language and country). Cookies also allow you to rate pages and fill out forms. We use cookies to learn more about how you interact with our content.
Some of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies. They expire automatically when you close your browser. There are also permanent cookies that are stored on your computer for a longer period of time. Further information on the different types of cookies that may be used by us can be found here:

Session cookies

These cookies store information about a user's session. Web pages have no memory. Session cookies enable the operators of a website to record the movements of users on the visited website. This means that user information that has already been sent to the website does not have to be transmitted again. Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed.

Preference cookies

When visiting a website, these cookies store information about the browser used and about additionally installed browser software. In addition, these cookies store the settings and preferences made when personalising a website (e.g. country, language or fonts). These settings and preferences are stored in connection with permanent cookies and do not have to be set again the next time the user visits the website.

Rating Cookies

These persistent cookies allow a user to rate how much they like a website. Rating cookies are used to store the current user rating of the page and to prevent users from rating a page more than once.

Voting Cookies

These persistent cookies ensure that users can only participate in a vote once.

Cookies form

These cookies are used to store information that a user provides when filling out forms. The stored data is used exclusively to restore the entries in the form when the user returns to the respective page.

Analytical cookies

Analytical cookies should show us how you move around a homepage. These types of cookies collect information about how visitors use our website, where they came to our website from, how often a user visits our site and how long a visit lasts. This information does not collect any user-specific information, nor does it collect any usage statistics at an aggregate level. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google, for this purpose.

Integration of third-party services and content

It may happen that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites, are integrated within this online offer. This always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers") are aware of the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore necessary for the presentation of this content. We endeavour to only use content whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. However, we have no influence if the third-party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Insofar as we are aware of this, we inform the users about it. See the information below.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address, which is, however, anonymised using the _anonymizeIp() method so that it can no longer be assigned to a connection) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

You can object to the collection of data by Google Analytics with effect for the future by installing a deactivation add-on(http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de) for your browser.

As an alternative to the browser add-on or within browsers on mobile devices, please click this link to prevent the collection by Google Analytics within this website in the future (the opt-out only works in this browser and only for this domain). This will place an opt-out cookie on your device. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you must click this link again.

Google +1

Our website uses the "+1" button of the social network Google Plus, which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ("Google"). The button is recognisable by the "+1" sign on a white background.

When you call up a web page of our website that contains such a button, your browser establishes a direct connection with Google's servers. The content of the "+1" button is transmitted by Google directly to your browser and integrated by it into the website. We therefore have no influence on the scope of the data that Google collects with the button, but assume that your IP address is also recorded.

For the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Google, as well as your rights in this respect and setting options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Google's data protection information on the "+1" button: http://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html

If you are a Google Plus member and do not want Google to collect data about you via our website and link it to your membership data stored with Google, you must log out of Google Plus before visiting our website.

Jetpack/ WordPress.com Stats

This website uses WordPress.com-Stats, a tool for statistical analysis of visitor traffic, operated by Automattic, Inc. 132 Hawthorne Street San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, using tracking technology provided by Quantcast Inc, 201 3rd St, Floor 2, San Francisco, CA 94103-3153, USA. WordPress.com-Stats uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is stored on a server in the USA. The IP address is anonymised before it is stored. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

You can object to the collection and use of data by Quantcast with effect for the future by setting an opt-out cookie in your browser at this point by clicking on the link "Click here to opt-out": http://www.quantcast.com/opt-out.

If you delete all cookies on your computer, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

YouTube

This website may embed videos from YouTube or provide links to videos on YouTube. This means that you may encounter cookies from these websites when you visit a page with embedded YouTube content or pages with links to YouTube. You can find more information about this in YouTube's privacy policy:
http://www.youtube.com/t/privacy_at_youtube

Facebook / Social PlugIns

Our website uses social plugins ("plugins") of the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). The plugins are recognisable by one of the Facebook logos (white "f" or a "thumbs up" sign) or are marked with the addition "Facebook Social Plugin".

Each time you visit a website of our internet presence that is equipped with such a plugin, the plugin causes the browser you are using to load and display the visual representation of the plugin from the Facebook server. In the process, the Facebook server is informed which particular website of our internet presence you are currently visiting as well as other data such as your IP address.

The plugin enables a direct connection between the user's browser and the Facebook or Google server. Facebook and Google thus collect information (in particular the date and time of the website visit and other browser-related information) of the user on the website. If the user clicks on the Facebook "Like" button or the Google "+1" button while logged into their Facebook or Google account, it is also possible for Facebook or Google to assign the visit to the website to the user's profile.

By activating the plugin, Facebook receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding page of our website. If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the "Like" button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your browser to Facebook and stored there. If you are not a member of Facebook, there is also the possibility that Facebook will collect and store your IP address after you click on the Facebook notice.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in Facebook's privacy policy.

If you are a Facebook member and do not want Facebook to collect data about you via our website and link it to your membership data stored on Facebook, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. Further settings and objections to the use of data for advertising purposes are possible within the Facebook profile settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.

It is also possible to block Facebook social plugins with extensions for your browser (add-ons for your browser e.g. "Facebook Blocker").

By visiting the website, you expressly consent to such use of your user information.

Twitter

This website uses the buttons of the Twitter service. These buttons are offered by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. They are recognisable by terms such as "Twitter" or "Follow", combined with a stylised blue bird. With the help of the buttons, it is possible to share a post or page of this offer on Twitter or to follow the provider on Twitter.

When a user calls up a website of this internet presence that contains such a button, his browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of Twitter. The content of the Twitter button is transmitted by Twitter directly to the user's browser. The provider therefore has no influence on the scope of the data that Twitter collects with the help of this plugin and informs users according to its state of knowledge. According to this, only the user's IP address and the URL of the respective website are transmitted when the button is used, but not for purposes other than displaying the button.
Further information on this can be found in Twitter's privacy policy at http://twitter.com/privacy.

Xing

The "XING Share Button" is used on this website. When this website is accessed, the user's browser briefly establishes a connection to servers of XING AG ("XING"), with which the "XING Share Button" functions (in particular the calculation/display of the counter value) are provided. XING does not store any personal data of the user about the call of this offer. In particular, XING does not store IP addresses. There is also no evaluation of usage behaviour via the use of cookies in connection with the "XING Share Button". Users can access the current data protection information on the "XING Share Button" and supplementary information on this website: https://www.xing.com/app/share?op=data_protection

E-mail, feedback and forum service

In the event that this website offers e-mail, forum or feedback services, we will store the data transmitted by you to the extent necessary for this service. Use for advertising purposes is expressly excluded unless we have your consent or legal permission to do so.

Integration of Google Maps

On this website we use the offer of Google Maps. This allows us to show you interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to use the map function comfortably.

By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have called up the corresponding sub-page of our website. In addition, the data collected during your visit to our website is transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether there is no user account. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not want the assignment with your profile at Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right.

For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plug-in provider, please refer to the provider's privacy policy. There you will also find further information about your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy: http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Use of Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google") for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google's servers. This enables Google to know that our website has been accessed via your IP address. Google Web Fonts are used in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.
For cases in which personal data is transferred to Google LLC in the USA, Google has certified itself to the us-European data protection agreement "Privacy Shield", which ensures compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.
Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Use of Adobe Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited (Adobe Ireland), 4-6 Riverwalk, Citywest Business Campus, Dublin 24, Ireland ("Adobe") for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Adobe's servers. This enables Adobe to know that your IP address has been used to access our website. Adobe Fonts are used in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.
In cases where personal data is transferred to Adobe Inc in the USA, Adobe has certified itself to the us-European data protection agreement "Privacy Shield", which ensures compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.
Further information on Adobe Fonts can be found at https://www.adobe.com/de/privacy/policies/adobe-fonts.html and in the Adobe privacy policy: https://www.adobe.com/de/privacy/policy.html.
