In an apartment building with 25 residential units on Alsterdorfer Straße in Hamburg, three OVUM air-source heat pumps were integrated into the existing heating system. The work included pouring foundations for the outdoor units, excavation work for piping, and core drilling between the indoor and outdoor units. Why Using Multiple Heat Pumps Can Be a Good Idea for Larger Buildings
In a building with 25 residential units, the heating demand typically exceeds what a single heat pump can reasonably handle. In this project, the demand was instead distributed among three units, which were collectively integrated into the existing heating system. The specific allocation depends on the structural and technical conditions of the respective building.
