Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, the AirCube operates efficiently and uses the natural refrigerant propane (R290), which has a low global warming potential (GWP). It is designed to maintain a low sound power level even at low outdoor temperatures. This makes it well-suited for use in densely built-up residential areas and in spaces with limited room.

Highly Efficient
The AirCube* achieves a SCOP of 6.02 at a flow temperature of 35 °C, as determined in accordance with EN 14825 at the independent heat pump testing center in Buchs. This means that, under the defined test conditions, one kilowatt-hour of electricity theoretically provides 6.02 kilowatt-hours of heat on an annual average.
In 2022, the AirCube became the first air-source heat pump to achieve a SCOP of over 6. Among other factors, its high efficiency is due to the hot-gas process developed by OVUM, which is designed for efficient operation across a wide range of operating conditions.

Natural refrigerant
Propane (R290) is used as the refrigerant; it is characterized by a particularly low global warming potential (GWP) of just 3. Synthetic refrigerants have a GWP that is 100 to 1,000 times higher. Propane is not subject to the phase-out deadlines of the F-Gas Regulation: The plant remains refillable and serviceable, even as regulations for synthetic refrigerants become stricter.
Smart
Every OVUM heat pump is controlled by the MIRA controller. The interface is designed like a smartphone—intuitive and user-friendly. But MIRA doesn’t just control the heat pump: It takes the weather forecast and the PV plant’s output into account and shifts energy consumption to times when it costs the least.
And starting in 2027, OVUM will be breaking new ground with MIRA Home—an efficiency management system for the entire building.

One cable is all you need
The heat pumps are connected via a cable running from unit to unit all the way to the Controller. That was the entire installation. No second control unit, no control cabinet full of additional modules. And because MIRA handles the configuration, the cascade is set up quickly.
MIRA divides the work fairly
The controller ensures that all units are used evenly. This way, they age at a similar rate, and no heat pump wears out prematurely. At the same time, MIRA keeps the plant operating at its most efficient point for as long as possible. This saves electricity over the years.
Heating and Hot Water at the Same Time
With MIRA, you can set up to four heating circuits. This means that the building continues to be heated while a heat pump is already heating the water. For example, heat pumps 1 through 3 provide heating, while heat pump 4 heats the hot-water tank.
Staying in Sync Even in Winter
After a brief interruption—such as when heating water—MIRA still knows exactly how much power your building needed and quickly returns to that level. No slow ramp-up, no rooms that cool down.

Compatible Accessories
When a heat pump becomes a system.
The Cube storage tank completes the boiler room: hot water, buffering, fresh water module, cooling function, and PV surplus control are pre-assembled on one square meter and factory-set.
If a custom hydraulic setup is required, the MIRA Plus can control even complex plants without a Cube storage tank.
For simple plants, the MIRA Mini is sufficient: it offers a reduced set of features at a lower price. PV integration and the use of weather data are still possible.
