From Oil Heating to a Heat Pump with the CUBE700

In Weer, an oil-fired heating system with a 2,000-liter tank had previously met the building’s heating needs. MECO has replaced the plant with an OVUM ACP312 air-source heat pump equipped with a CUBE700 buffer tank. This completely eliminates the ongoing reliance on heating oil.

OVUM ACP312 Heat Pump

Replaces the existing oil-fired heating system for space heating and hot water.

CUBE700 Buffer Tank

Stores the heat generated for heating and hot water production.

MIRA Plus Controller

Standard system control for the OVUM heat pump.

What Will Change as a Result of the Transition

With the elimination of the oil tank, there is no longer a need for storage space, nor is there an ongoing dependence on oil prices. Instead, the heat pump draws its energy from the ambient air, and the CUBE700 storage tank stores the heat generated for heating and hot water.

Implemented by an OVUM partner company

The removal of the oil tank, the installation of the heat pump, and the integration of the CUBE700 storage tank were all handled by a single point of contact.
