High Efficiency in New Construction
Ovum AC312P in a single-family home with approximately 150 m²

In Niederau (Wildschönau), a new building with approximately 150 m² of living space was constructed in 2024/2025. An Ovum AC312P air-source heat pump was installed.
The AC312P installed here was the first air-source heat pump in 2022 to achieve a SCOP greater than 6 at the independent testing center in Buchs.

Heating in New Construction: A Meaningful Metric
An OVUM AC312P air-source heat pump was installed in the new building, completed in 2024/2025, which has approximately 150 m² of living space. According to a checklist of independently tested heat pumps dated September 16, 2025, the plant achieves an efficiency rating (SCOP35) of over 6. This means: Approximately 6.02 kW of heating output is generated from about 1 kW of electricity consumed—the difference comes from the ambient air, from which about 85% of the energy used is extracted.

Weather-Based Controller
It retrieves the weather forecast from the Internet and proactively adjusts the heating settings.
Compact design
The outdoor unit's low profile allows it to be discreetly placed behind the carport.

Heating Proactively Instead of Just Reacting
The controller retrieves the weather forecast from the Internet free of charge and plans the heating schedule accordingly. For example, the controller can begin heating as early as the evening if it is foreseeable that temperatures will drop shortly—regardless of what the outdoor sensor is reading at that moment.
First winter without full thermal insulation
The new building had to get through its first winter before the building’s full thermal insulation was completed. Even under these conditions, the heat pump reliably supplied the house with heat. A photovoltaic system is also planned for the facade, which will eventually cover part of the heat pump’s own electricity needs.
Implemented by an OVUM partner company
The installation of the heat pump was commissioned directly by the building owner and was planned, installed, and commissioned by the partner company.
