Top-of-the-line heat pumps for Hamburg

In Hamburg, heat pump systems are used in both new construction and the renovation of existing buildings. OVUM develops and manufactures its heat pump systems at its facility in Kirchbichl, Tyrol, relying on efficient, innovative, and practical technologies. The AirCube AC312P achieves a SCOP of 6.02 at a flow temperature of 35 °C, as determined in accordance with EN 14825 at the independent heat pump testing center in Buchs, Switzerland. Under the defined test conditions, this means that, on an annual average, one kilowatt-hour of electrical energy used theoretically provides 6.02 kilowatt-hours of heat.

The product range in the Hanseatic city extends from compact air-source heat pumps for single-family homes to system solutions for multi-family homes and residential construction projects, with a capacity range of 2 to 160 kW. OVUM sees itself not merely as a manufacturer of individual units, but as a system provider: the heat pump, Cube storage tank, MIRA Controller, and hydraulics are all designed to work together as integrated system components.

Sales in Hamburg are handled by trained expert partners—experienced HVAC companies, installers, and engineering firms—who professionally design, install, and maintain OVUM systems. This ensures that customers receive advice, installation, and service from qualified local representatives.

Efficiency and Climate Protection in Hamburg's Climate

The climate of northern Germany, with its mild, damp winters and changeable weather, places varying demands on modern heating systems. OVUM heat pumps use modulation technology to adjust their output to current heating needs. The HGS process supports efficient operation and high flow temperatures even when outdoor temperatures are low.

Acoustics play an important role, especially in the densely built-up Hanseatic city. The AirCube AC312P achieves a sound power level of 39.9 dB(A). The specially developed cube-shaped fins are modeled after the geometry of an owl’s wings and contribute to the acoustic optimization of the outdoor unit. As a result, OVUM offers a compact and acoustically optimized solution for a variety of installation scenarios.

OVUM heat pumps use the natural refrigerant propane (R290), which has a low global warming potential (GWP). The MIRA controller allows a photovoltaic system to be integrated into the heat pump system. Excess solar power can be used to operate the heat pump with watt-level precision, thereby increasing the system’s self-consumption of PV power.

The OVUM System

AirCube Air-Source Heat Pump

The highly efficient AirCube utilizes environmental heat from the outside air and, with a SCOP of 6.02, delivers high efficiency for new construction and renovation projects in Hamburg.

Ultra-quiet operation

With a noise level of just 39.9 dB(A) and its bionic owl-wing design, the AirCube can be discreetly installed even on small lots and in row house developments.

Cubic Brine Heat Pump

The patented, stackable Cubic system utilizes geothermal energy; thanks to its low R290 content of just 150 g per module, it can be installed inside a building and provides heating, cooling, and hot water.

Scalable Housing Solutions

Through cascading and modulation, our systems can handle up to 160 kW—ideal for apartment buildings, residential complexes, and commercial projects in Hamburg.

Cube System Storage

The Cube storage unit combines nine functions in just 1 m² of floor space—from hot water and buffer storage to the utilization of excess PV power with watt-level precision.

Hygienic Fresh Water

The integrated fresh water system heats domestic water only when it is drawn—no standing hot water, no risk of Legionella, and always fresh, safe hot water.

Intelligent MIRA Controller

MIRA controls up to 8 heating circuits, uses a weather-based schedule with real-time data, and can be easily operated from anywhere via smartphone, tablet, or PC.

Remote Maintenance & Service

Thanks to over-the-air updates and comprehensive data logs, our partners in Hamburg can conveniently monitor the plants remotely and provide reliable on-site support.
