Cologne
OVUM brings efficient heat pump systems “Made in Austria” to Cologne and throughout the Rhineland. Together with trained local partners, we implement coordinated heating solutions for single-family homes and apartment buildings—from heat pumps and storage tanks to smart Controllers.

Efficient Heat Pumps for Cologne
OVUM also offers a comprehensive portfolio of efficient heating solutions based on modern heat pump technology in Cologne. Whether it’s an air-source heat pump, a ground-source heat pump, or a complete system solution—the heat pump, storage tank, MIRA Controller, and hydraulics are all designed to work together as integrated system components.
The AirCube AC312P achieves a SCOP of 6.02 at a supply water temperature of 35 °C, as determined in accordance with EN 14825 at the independent heat pump testing center in Buchs, Switzerland. Under the defined test conditions, this means that, on an annual average, one kilowatt-hour of electrical energy used theoretically provides 6.02 kilowatt-hours of heat. The product portfolio thus offers efficient heating solutions for a variety of buildings and requirements—from the renovation of existing buildings in the Agnesviertel to new construction in the outskirts of Cologne.
Sales are handled by trained expert partners—experienced HVAC companies and installers from the region who provide consulting, planning, installation, and commissioning services for OVUM systems.
Regional Expertise for the Rhineland
As one of Germany’s largest cities, Cologne poses unique challenges for modern heating technology: limited land area, dense development, and a high proportion of apartment buildings. OVUM offers compact and acoustically optimized system solutions for these conditions. The AirCube AC312P achieves a sound power level of 39.9 dB(A). The specially developed Cube fins are modeled after the geometry of an owl’s wings and contribute to the acoustic optimization of the outdoor unit.
For residential construction projects in the Rhineland, the modular and stackable CUBIC ground-source heat pump offers a compact solution for indoor installation. Each module operates with 150 g of the natural refrigerant propane (R290), allowing the required heating capacity to be adjusted on a modular basis to meet different building requirements.
The MIRA controller offers intuitive operation, web-based remote maintenance, and over-the-air updates. The controller is complemented by support from trained expert partners in the Cologne region—from planning and installation to commissioning and service.
The OVUM System
AirCube Air-Source Heat Pump
The efficient AirCube from the ACP series achieves a SCOP of up to 6.02, thereby enabling low operating costs in new construction and renovation projects in Cologne. At the same time, it stands out for its quiet operation and the use of the natural refrigerant R290.
CUBIC Brine Heat Pump
The patented, stackable CUBIC geothermal heat pump uses geothermal energy with just 150 g of propane per module and, when stacked, delivers up to 54 kW—in a compact design suitable for indoor installation.
Cube System Storage
The Cube storage unit combines nine functions—from fresh water production to storing excess PV energy—in a footprint of just 1 m²—fully installed at the factory and wired for plug-and-play operation.
MIRA Control System
The intelligent MIRA operating system controls up to 8 heating circuits, anticipates needs thanks to its weather-based schedule, and can be intuitively controlled from anywhere via cell phone, tablet, or PC.
Renovation of Existing Buildings
OVUM heat pumps also deliver proven efficiency in Cologne’s older buildings—flexible heat distribution, even at low flow temperatures, makes it possible to switch from oil and gas.
Solutions for Apartment Buildings
For residential construction projects in the Rhineland, the AirCube scales up to 160 kW in a cascade configuration, while CUBIC modules can be stacked as needed—ideal for large residential complexes in Cologne.
PV Integration
The smart PV management system detects excess solar power down to the watt and significantly increases self-consumption—helping you avoid rising energy costs.
Refrigeration & Hot Water
OVUM systems combine heating, active and passive cooling, and hygienic hot water production in a single plant—providing year-round comfort without the risk of Legionella.
