We have been self-sufficient with Ovum for a few weeks now, but what does that actually mean?
Basically, self-sufficient means being dependent on no one, i.e. living independently and self-determined. However, this term is often used to refer to independent energy supply: deciding for yourself what energy costs, where it comes from and how it is produced, and that is exactly what we do with our PV system.
A few weeks ago we put our PV system into operation and since then we have been heating & cooling our office, production, test bench and warehouse with 60 kW of PV electricity. To go one step further, we have added four electric cars to our fleet.
Our systems should of course be as environmentally friendly as our office and our production. That's why our heat pumps are powered by renewable energies such as geothermal or air and can also make optimal use of PV electricity.
Together with you, we want to move towards an environmentally friendly future.
